Challenge
Complex purchasing and inventory decisions require the analysis of historical transaction patterns, changing demand and external factors. Traditional rule-based processes cannot always account for these dynamics effectively.
Solution
We developed a machine-learning-based order optimization system combining historical purchasing and sales data with external signals to support adaptive ordering decisions.
The system uses three years of historical transaction data for model training and incorporates relevant external factors to account for demand fluctuations and seasonal patterns.
Models are retrained weekly and deployed directly into existing operational software, enabling regularly updated decision support without requiring users to switch systems.
The approach
- Historical transaction data analysis
- Integration of relevant external data signals
- Predictive model development
- Automated weekly retraining
- Model distribution into existing software
- Integration into established operational workflows
Intended business value
A scalable foundation for continuously updated, data-driven ordering decisions, embedded directly into existing business software.
